Ryder is mobile!

Ryder is officially crawling! It's the cutest thing ever, and I wish I had a picture to go along with this post. For about three weeks he would get up on his hands and knees and just rock back and forth like he wanted to crawl but didn't know how to start. Jason and I tried to help him by Jason moving his legs at the same time I would move his hands. It sounded like a good way to show him, but he didn't understand what we were trying to do to him and he just got frustrated. We sort of just backed off and decided that he'll do it when he's ready, and sure enough on May 24th in front of all my family in Mt Pleasant he crawled, and he's just gotten better and faster at it since.

It's nice that he can now crawl to his toys or follow Frankie around, but it's also made me realize I cant leave ANYTHING lying around because naturally things that aren't toys are so much more fun to play with. He's learned the word "no" which has come in handy when he goes for the DVDs. He's no longer my stationary baby that quietly sits and plays with his toys. He's our little busy body! I've quickly learned that crawling is a blessing and a curse! :)

Memorial Day in Mount Pleasant

This last weekend Ryder and I drove down with my family to our family cabin in Mount Pleasant, Utah. I've been going to Mount Pleasant as long as I can remember, and I have sooo many amazing memories as a child during the summers. It was so fun to see most of my cousins on my dad's side and my aunts & uncles. My entire family drove down to spend the holiday together. Unfortunately Jason couldn't come since it's a big golf tournament weekend for him, but I think he enjoyed himself nonetheless.

Here are a few pictures of the weekend.Tyler, Alycia, Cole & Ella in her stroller at the festival in Ephraim.

Ryder was just hanging out and completely entertained with everything going on.

Morgan was at her wits end with Isabelle! A toddler without naps is a bad combination! Isabelle is still such a doll even when she's cranky!

Uncle Steve with Ryder, Me with Isabelle, & Alycia with Ella socializing with the fam.

Ephraim has a teeny tiny Walmart so we took the babies to get Isabelle's food and Ryder LOVES to ride in the cart.
Grandpa and Ryder.

Morgan, Cole, & me.

Me & Thor- I cant believe how tall he's getting!!!

Poor Isabelle was just exhausted and cranky! She was throwing some major temper tantrums! I should add poor Morgan as well!

When we got back to my house we put the little bugs in the bath, and as you can see Ryder loved having someone else to play with in the tub! Isabelle was a little unsure of the situation, especially since Ryder splashes like crazy. It was adorable!

Catching Up

Today I was able to meet up with Candace, one of my best friends from high school. She is living in Tennessee at the moment, but she is in town for Women's Conference with her mom and cousins from California. Ryder and I got to tag along with her and her cousin who is engaged to try on wedding dresses. We went to 3 different bridal shops and Ryder was such a trooper; he was the best boy ever! It was so much fun to hang out with all the girls and catch up since Candace and I haven't seen each other in almost 7 years!

Easter

Easter was so eventful this year! We had a pretty packed schedule with our own family Easter at our house in the early morning, breakfast & an Easter egg hunt at Grandpa Ronnie's, another Easter egg hunt and lunch at Scott & Tracie's, and then dinner at Grandma Karen's. It was so fun to be able to see Stacie & Kody up from Saint George, and it was also nice to see the Noseworthy family! The Easter bunny was pretty good to Ryder this year! He got some blocks, a new Baby Einstein DVD, a baby cell phone, a Baby Einstein book, and a couple packages of board books. He immediately went for the cell phone, which as you can guess, went into his mouth. His Grandma & Grandpa Call got him a ball, some bath toys, and a really cute book that sings and lights up.

At Ron's we had the best ham and toast and hash browns! Then the Easter egg hunt commenced, where we had about 100 eggs to find that Ron had hid in his yard. The plastic eggs were filled with cash which was awesome, because who doesn't need a little cash these days?!

At Scott & Tracie's house we had another Easter egg hunt where the eggs were filled with numbers that were worth money, but we didn't know how much until the end. Some were filled with tasks, and others with trivia questions. If you got the trivia questions right, you received money, if you got it wrong it went into the pot where it could be won by someone else. It's a pretty fun Easter egg hunt because you never know what you're going to get. I never really win anything, but this year I found the most eggs and I won the big prize which was a SPA DAY!!! Woo hoo!!!! I'm a sucker for the spa!!! Jason and I put our money together from Ron's and Scott & Tracie's, and we won a grand total of $95! How awesome is that?!

We had such a fun day, and I'm happy to say we got it all captured on video! Even the part where I took out Trey during my egg finding frenzy! Sorry Trey! Thanks Ron, Scott & Tracie, and Karen for the awesome Easter!!!

6 Months Already?!

I cannot believe it has been six months since Ryder has come into our lives! He is such a funny little guy and we cant imagine our life without him! He is so strong and smart! He absolutely loves to stand, but hates tummy time. He is working on his second tooth coming in and is almost sitting up on his own. He can roll over from his tummy to back and has almost mastered rolling over the other direction. He loves to pick up his toys, and of course they go straight into his mouth. His favorite thing is playing peek-a-boo, we always get a smile out of him and he loves when we sing to him. He is always full of smiles! He loves his Daddy so much and his puppy, Frankie. He is learning and changing every day!
We went to his six month doctor appointment today and here are his stats:

Weight: 15 lbs 12 oz- 25th percentile

Length: 26 1/2 inches- 60th percentile

Happy 6 month Birthday Ryder!

March Madness!!!!

Ahhh March Madness... this is a very important time of year in my house. I had never filled out a bracket in my life before I married Jason, but I've done it every year since. Jason gave me the warning several days in advance that the TV would only be tuned to channels featuring the NCAA tournament games today and over the weekend, and who knows how long after that. Jason said my picks were due at home Tuesday after work so I decided this year to fill out my bracket on ESPN.com so that I could be entered in the national pool so ESPN can keep track of my picks for me (I'm lazy like that)! Plus, I'm automatically entered in to win millions of dollars if I pick right (I actually don’t know how much you win, but I bet it's a lot!). I like to pick my teams randomly- sometimes I go with a gut feeling, other times I look at the seed, and sometimes I just like one team name better than another. This method has yet to win me any money in the many pools Jason has paid for me to enter; nevertheless, I think this is the BEST method! I've been keeping track of the first round games all day online and so far I'm 5 for 7, not too shabby! I don’t take it too seriously, but it's a fun competition between Jason and I, and its fun to have someone to cheer for!
